Our top story for the week is Joe and Monique have a baby boy! Alexander Cole Archibald was born at 7am Monday the 12th. 7 pounds and 8 ounces. Wish them well at joea@nationalamiga.com !
WOA London seems to have been a great success. This is good to hear. Nothing but successful Amiga shows this year so far. Eventhough we were not able to make it, we are greatful for all those that did go out to show their support and appreciation for the platform.
Gateway's deal has been finalized as everyone now knows. They did make a bit of a speech at the WOA show, but nothing really solid. Jason Comptons Amiga Report Special Issue is now out and outlines several key factors for us to keep in mind.. namely in terms of support and what we should be expecting. Our OpenHouse has a date now! June 21st. We plan on having some seminars about different aspects of the Amiga, lots of hardware and software set up for comparisson and free food! Look for a registration form sometime soon on the website.. it's just basically asking where you are coming from and how many hot-dogs you want :)
The server is now running on a nice CyberStorm MkII-060. Much faster at generating catalogues and dishing email, but I lost the SCSI-II for now. :(
Many people have been asking why our prices do not match the suggested selling prices on phase5's web-site. Well, if you were over there in Germany and bought the card right then and there and used the conversion rate of the day, that price would be fine.. BUT it costs money to ship the card, pay brokerage fees, taxes and distribution costs and THEN put suitable markup.
Phase5 reduced its prices again. Here's this weeks list.
I didn't bother putting a list of used hardware on here. It hasn't changed much since last time. We have multiples of just about everything.

Phase5 has now announced a 030/040/060 version of the PPC card for the A1200 (see below for prices). This is great for A1200 owners as the previous card was 030@50MHz only. The Blizzard 2604 PPC card for the A2000 should be out in August!
