SETDATE changes the timestamp, the date and time of the creation or last change, of a file or directory. SETDATE (file) changes the date/time of the file or direcotry. SETDATE ALL changes the date and time of all the files and subdirectories matching the pattern entered.
The system clocks arenot affected by SETDATE.
You can use output from DATE as input to SETDATE
