In the beginning... There was a page called "A\box vs. Pentium MMX".. The page was a huge success with about 4000 graphical hits in a month (at one point about 100/hour). I got lots of mail from people all around the world and I also got in contact with lots of nice people.. Amiga-Info has a web-chat where someone came up with the idea to start an A\box-campaign. I started working on it and we came up with the idea of spreading a logo around the net which was meant to be a link to some A\box-page (Phase 5?). We collected logos and people voted for the best logo.. That's the logo we now use.
That was supposed to be it... But John Lysfjord contacted me (the first time I heard from him) and he thought that we should make a campaign-site.. and we made one.. The site was opened at April 1st with one mirror (in Norway)...
After a while (around 500 hits) we started using WebTracker to get some kind of idea of what kind of people visited the site. After about 2000 webtracker hits I thought I had enough info on the users.... And I started to use my good old graphical counter again. Crude, but fast...
