Achieving Network Compatibility with Sanyo 3-CD changers

Issue: The Sanyo 3-CD Changer is network compatible. During an installation there may be an initial conflict between available drive letters. An example would be if you are using Novell® as the network. Novell uses the F drive as its login drive. The drivers for the Sanyo 3-CD default to drives D, E, and F.

Resolution: Networks using the F drive as the login drive will be unable to load due to the conflict between the network and the Sanyo drivers. In this situation, a switch may be placed on the MSCDEX.EXE line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT to force the CD-ROM to use available drive letters. This switch may also be used if the system has two hard drives or if drive letter D is not available.

The switch necessary to change the drive letters is /L:. An example of an MSCDEX.EXE line is as follows: C:\DOS\MSCDEX.EXE /D:TSYCD3 /L:N (Where N is the first drive letter the CD-ROM will use)

Note: There must be three consecutive drive letters available to properly install the CD-ROM drive.
