The following error messages occur after upgrading from WFW3.11 to Windows '95 when using the PnP ENSONIQ sound card :

• The Soundscape board was not detected. If this is a plug & play board make sure the DOS configuration manager driver DWCFGMG.SYS is in your CONFIG.SYS file. Press any key.....
• The VSNDSCP.386 driver is not present or failed to load.
• VSNDSCP.386 initialization error! VSNDSCP.386 was unable to locate the Ensoniq Soundscape hardware. Please check your software/hardware configuration and restart computer. Press any key to continue.

Resolution:

• Right click on My Computer.
• Click Properties and the System Properties screen appears.
• Select the Device Manager tab and look for Unknown in the list. Remove any Ensoniq devices found here.
• Click Sound, Video & game controllers from the list in Device Manager and click Remove.
• Click the Refresh button and a Hardware Found message box appears.
• Select Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer and click on OK. The driver is located on the Windows 95 CD under Drivers\Audio\Ensoniq\ensoniq.inf.
• To finish setting up new hardware, restart the system. This initiates the install of the Soundscape Soundblaster emulation and a second restart of the system which installs the Gameport, Joystick (choose Windows Default drive).
