• Wow, time flies when you're having fun. Things have been so busy around here that we almost forgot it had been over a month since the last mailing list. So, here we are again to report our progress, the Amigas progress and hopefully pass along some interesting deals.
• Over the last month we have resigned our web-site, placed ads in a few magazines, networked the hell out of the building, brought out our first hardware project, and Incorporated our company.
• Yes, incorporated. ARCHTECH INCORPORATED to be exact. National Amiga is a division of ARCHTECH, and ARCHTECH will be doing other things.
• Hardware project? Yes, National Amiga in association with MicroBit have come up with a PC keyboard to Amiga adapter. See below. We have 2 more projects in the works right now that we will also be releasing shortly.
• The web-site has changed to a new look. I (Greg) forgot a few things on it and will be incorporating those in the very near future. Also look for a completely new orderform…one that will now spit out order numbers so you can track what's going on :-)
• Also regarding the web-site, I've off-loaded a lot of things from the server (yes, still running on Amigas) and moved them to other machines. This will speed up response-times and improve reliability.
• Sales for the Amiga community based around us have been quite good lately. Many local people are wandering into the store looking for help and upgrades for their Amigas. Most popular these days are those looking for 1200's to replace their 500's or 1000's.
• NewTek Flyers are shipping once again.
• National Amiga now includes The Informer magazine (while quantities last) with each order that goes out. It's a well published, quality Amiga print magazine that's based in North America.
• Phase5 items are starting to creep out of Germany. We are filling orders for MkII-060's and CyberVision64/3D's (yes the CV64's are in stock!!)
• Much has changed in the North American market for distribution. It's becoming harder to get new Amiga products these days due to demand from everyone all over the world (Phase5 is a good example)
• We are still waiting on Wizard 3-button mice and BioCon products.
• The website catalogue now contains a list of what we have left for Euromag back-issues. We are increasing our order for new magazines, so if you are looking for a specific title ie. CU Amiga, CD edition let us know.
• We are surrounded by 1080/1084 monitors. Are you sure you don't need one? Maybe two? :)
• We are attending the Gateway ‘97 Amiga show in St.Louis on March 15^th and 16^th. Please come on out and say hi and buy lots of stuff. It will be another gala event.
• We need Amiga 2000's, 1200's and DCTVs!
• I want to welcome Jason (Cabezon) Norwood, our newest employee. Jason will be helping out with order processing and getting things out the door faster.
• We now have a daily mail pickup. International and domestic orders that go by mail will now not have to wait for us to get to the post office, the post office now comes to us.
